Some things are better in pairs; wine and cheese, bread and butter, berries and cream. The ultimate pair is a wonderful cup of brewed coffee along with a decadent tiramisu dessert made with Starbucks new VIA Italian Roast coffee.
Starbucks has introduced what they are calling a “ready brew”, which is an instant coffee that maintains the aroma and taste of normal brewed coffee. Combining this ease of preparation with the wonderful taste of freshly brewed coffee makes this Italian dessert recipe a real winner.
Making Tiramisu with Starbucks VIA™
9 inch spring foam Pan
1 lb or 17 oz. Container Mascarpone Cheese (room temperature)
2 packages Lady Fingers
4 Egg Yolks
7 Tbls. Sugar
2 Egg Whites
2 Cups Starbucks ™ VIA Italian Roast (2 Handy Packs)
¼ Cup Kahlua
Grated, semi-sweet chocolate
Beat cheese; add 4 egg yolks, 1 at a time and 7 tablespoons sugar.
Beat until light and creamy
Beat 2 egg whites until stiff with peaks. Fold into cheese.
Mix 2 cups Starbucks VIA™ Italian roast ready brew and add ¼ cup of Kahlua liquor.
Dip lady fingers quickly in this mixture
Line lady fingers in bottom of spring foam pan and cut to fit if needed
Put ½ cheese mixture on ladyfingers, and then top with grated semi-sweet chocolate (enough to cover cheese)
Repeat another layer
Cover with plastic and refrigerate overnight
Prepare 1 or 2 days in advance of serving to guests
If soft, put in freezer for 10 minutes before serving
All that is left to do now is set the table, light the candles and you have the ingredients for a perfect finish to an evening at home.
